From Player to Coach: Carline Pierre’s Inspiring Soccer Journey
In the rural community of Pas Bwa Dom, football isn’t just a game — it’s a way to build friendships, confidence, and hope for the future. For Carline Pierre, the sport has been a lifelong passion.
Carline first began playing football as a young girl in her local community. The field became her second home, a place where she could challenge herself, work as part of a team, and dream big. In 2016, her dedication led her to join the Haiti Projects soccer team, where she quickly became a standout player.

Her leadership skills, determination, and love for the game didn’t go unnoticed. In 2024, Carline achieved a new milestone — becoming the team’s coach. Now, she’s using her experience to inspire the next generation of players, especially young girls in her community.
“I want them to see that soccer isn’t just about physical fitness — it’s also about building resilience, teamwork, and mental strength,” Carline shares.
One of her proudest memories came in 2022, when her team earned second place in a tournament organized by Haiti Projects for all the teams in the program. For Carline, that moment was more than a trophy — it was proof of what hard work, unity, and determination can achieve.
Today, Carline continues to guide her players not only to improve their skills on the field but also to grow in confidence and character. Her story is a shining example of how sports can empower women and girls to dream bigger, lead boldly, and create positive change in their communities.
